It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd Mastering the Beam Symposium, held this year in Tangerang in collaboration with Indonesian Society of Dermatology & Venereology (INSDV) Serang. Since its first edition, this meeting has grown into a meaningful platform where science, skill, and shared experience come together to elevate the practice of laser dermatology in Indonesia.
Mastering the Beam has always been more than lectures and workshops—it is a community. A space where we learn from one another, discover new possibilities with lasers and energy-based devices, and reaffirm our commitment to safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
This year’s program brings updated insights, hands-on learning, and discussions led by respected national and international experts. I hope these two days inspire you, expand your clinical perspectives, and strengthen our collective contribution to advancing dermatologic laser practice.

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all participants of the upcoming National Symposium “Mastering the Beam 3”, a collaborative event between the Indonesian Laser Dermatology Study Group (KSDLI) and Perdoski Cabang Serang. It is an honor for us to be part of this significant initiative aimed at advancing the field of laser dermatology in Indonesia.
In recent years, we have witnessed rapid developments in laser technology, establishing its role as an essential component of modern dermatological practice. Recognizing its growing importance, KSDLI and Perdoski Serang are committed to providing a scientific forum that supports continuous learning, encourages innovation, and enhances clinical competence among medical professionals with interest in dermatology, laser, and aesthetics.
This symposium is designed not only to expand theoretical understanding but also to strengthen practical skills in using laser and other energy-based devices safely, effectively, and ethically. By engaging dermatovenereologists, general practitioners, residents, and various experts nationwide, this event aims to foster meaningful discussions and collaborative knowledge exchange that will elevate the standard of care.

Mastering the beam 3
Laser dermatology continues to advance rapidly, becoming an essential component of daily clinical practice. Within specialist training, Sp.DVE doctors are required to master both the theoretical and practical aspects of laser procedures to ensure high-quality medical care. The Indonesian Study Group of Laser Dermatology (KSDLI) supports this mission by providing continuous scientific activities to strengthen professional competence. In collaboration with PERDOSKI Serang, KSDLI will hold a symposium on 9–10 May 2025 for Sp.DVE specialists, residents, and general practitioners. Through focused discussions and shared learning, this event aims to enhance skills and ensure excellent, patient-centered laser dermatology services in Indonesia.
